Lia was asking if Pam was going to see Twilight. I forgot to ask when I saw her today but I'm pretty sure she does not feel like spending her money or a minute of her free time to see it. But I wonder if she would do it if we paid her to do it? And then write about it in her LJ?

(<a href="http://nerdluv.tumblr.com/">http://nerdluv.tumblr.com/) and it's not bad. added comments section and so it feels a bit more substantial, and got flickr feed working. also i like that the template size i'm using looks pretty good on iPhones, like it was designed for it. also, yesterday , at the office,i tried blotting a coffee stain on my shirt with club soda. except i realized a minute in, i was using fresca. cans are really similar.

That guy "Suede", from Ohio, he's really straight and doing a bad "gay" impression he saw on SNL or something, right?

NYC right now. My feet hurt from walking and I'm very full. I also saw this person making out with a very young man in my hotel lobby.

I had to tell my mom on the phone tonight that no, I would not be interested in a tie with a van Gogh painting on it. Wow. Clothing gift ban in full effect.

I wish you would let my mom dress you for a week.

It's a fact that the painter Georgia O'Keefe had actually never seen a vagina in her life. "I've never even really looked at mine," she told an art critic.

My co-worker saw that I had a bag of Goldfish crackers on my desk and she asked me, as I was leaving for the day, if I was going to eat them. I said no and gave them to her and said, "You know what I like to do? I like to cut up some organic fruit when I need a snack instead of eating junk food." And then I walked away to go get my coat. I came back about half a minute later and told her I was joking. She said good, cause she was about to punch me in the face.

Just got some Bacon Salt in the mail here at work. Three of us (one is a vegetarian) got the sampler: BBQ, Original, and Pepper. I want to try it out but the only snacks around the office are candy, fruit, teas and coffee. And all the nuts are salted. I guess that just leaves co-workers.

if I judge a person as a bad dresser, I tend to discount their views on the arts. Fair or unfair? Probably unfair. I don't know. I have to think about this.

This new job is keeping me busy. I don't even have my usual eight hours of reading blogs that I'm use to during a working day. I'm actually working. Weird. When not looking up what the hell an "em dash" is, trying to get out of meetings, and scooping kitty litter, I've been reading "the Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao" by Junot Díaz. Wow. Dirty, nerdy (how do non-nerds get all the references? especially during the first few chapters?), like a mash-up of "Love in the Time of Cholera" and...I don't know, Lethem? Something like that. Man, that Diaz can write. Also in news you can use, Princess Albany the stray cat has gained two pounds.

This Chicago winter has been a grind. So many ice slicked dark days strung together with bitterly cold wind. But today I got out of work a little early and stood on the Belmont Ave. EL stop around 5pm-ish and saw that the sun was still up in the sky. It filled me with a bit of hope. I'll be glad to see the back of winter when the only slush I see will be the kind I make in the freezer with bourbon and orange juice.
